A phased project to upgrade the fire alarm system and perform targeted renovations to a heavily-used Student Center.
The goals of the Witherspoon project were twofold. Phase One included the complete replacement of the entire fire alarm system throughout the building. Due to construction scheduling and sequencing, this portion of the project was bid separately to an electrical contractor. Phase Two involved the renovation of the first floor public restroom to provide accessibility and update finishes and fixtures. In addition, significant renovations were performed to Room 126, a highly-used meeting room associated with the African American Cultural Center.
