Jones Athletic Complex

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke

To accommodate the dramatic student population growth on this campus, 30,000 square feet of new space was added to the existing athletic complex.

The main features of the addition are a 5,000-sqare foot fitness area that looks out onto the common green space, a 5,000-square foot athletic training lab, a new entryway and lobby addressing the new campus master plan, meeting rooms, and new office spaces. Portion of the original building exteriors were renovated to minimize abrupt visual transitions from new to old.
