Cary Tennis Park

Town of Cary | Cary, North Carolina

The revitalization of a municipal tennis park that also has become a nationally-recognized venue for professional and collegiate tennis competitions.

The Cary Tennis Center Master Plan documented the vision for future of the center and created a phased project for the Town of Cary, The Cary Tennis Center Renovation and Addition. Phase I consisted of the replacement of eight existing asphalt tennis courts that had deteriorated to the point of affecting play. The new tennis courts were post-tensioned concrete slabs, which provided high quality and high durability. Phase II consisted of a 7-court covered tennis facility. This facility filled a need for tennis courts that could be used year-round, even in inclement weather. The construction was performed on schedule and on budget, and was ready for a major tennis event hosted by the Town. CRA Associates served as the Architects and Civil Engineers for the project, while David LaSota was the Tennis Facility Consultant.
