Elon University | Elon, North Carolina
The Renovation of Long Hall at Elon University transformed a 1960’s era student union into a state-of-the-art classroom, office and studio complex for the Graduate Level Program in Interactive Media Studies.
Located in the campus’s historic district, the existing building is a two-story, 10,000 square foot facility. It was renovated to include office space for the Director and academic staff, and engagement spaces for students. Three large classrooms, a seminar room, and audio-video studios were designed to meet the programmatic requirements. An elevator was added to meet the need for accessibility. The interior design is sleek and modern to mirror the cutting-edge subjects being taught, while the exterior retains the traditional collegiate style of the University.
