Following a comprehensive master plan, the first phase was implemented including the improvement of the main entrance, fitness and weight training rooms, and creating a new equipment checkout area.
Within a limited budget and a very short time frame, a spacious, dynamic entry and a check-in sequence was created that is designed to handle the hundreds of students and faculty that use the 300,000 square foot complex every day. One of the project goals was to provide an open and vibrant public face to the facility, which was accomplished with a contemporary glass storefront system within a metal panel framework. Glass walls were carried through the inside of the lobby to allow views into the adjacent weight and fitness areas.
